Apply Now for Spring 2026 Scholarships!

The Foundation offers scholarships ranging from $250 to $5,000 for both incoming and current Moraine Valley students.

These scholarships are gift aid, which means you do not have to repay them or earn them by working.

Scholarships are based on a variety of qualifications, such as:

  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • Personal achievement
  • Financial need
  • Leadership skills
  • Community involvement
  • Programs and fields of study

All students, whether they already receive financial aid or not, are eligible to apply for scholarships. Scholarships are a gift and do not need to be paid back. You may receive a scholarship even if you already have some financial aid. Full- and part-time students are eligible.

While many scholarships require students to complete a FAFSA form, there are some scholarships available for students who have not completed a FAFSA or who are not eligible for FAFSA. We encourage everyone to apply.

You can apply for a scholarship at any time however there are three Scholarship Award windows during the academic year.

  • For Fall/Spring semesters for the upcoming academic year – Apply March 31 to May 31 – more than 300 scholarships awarded from $250 to $5000.
  • For Fall semester – Apply July 1 to one week prior to fall classes begin – Approximately 50 scholarships awarded from $250 to $1,000.
  • For Spring semester – Apply Nov. 1 to a week before spring classes begin – Approximately 50 scholarships awarded from $150 to $1,000.

You only have to apply once an academic year to be considered for all of the three Scholarship Award Windows.  You will be notified if you are receiving an award in your student email account. If you applied for a scholarship last year, you must apply again, as each year all applications are cleared and the process starts again March 1.

Scholarships can only be used at Moraine Valley Community College for the fall or spring semesters.  There are no summer semester scholarships.  Scholarships may not be used to pay off past balances.  Scholarships can be used to pay tuition, fees, books and supplies purchased at the Moraine Valley Bookstore.

Please direct any questions to the Moraine Valley Foundation scholarships@iarerobotics.com or call (708) 974-5551.

  • Click on the blue sign-on button in the upper right corner. Your student information will be filtered into your application once you sign-on.

One of the most important aspects of the scholarship application is your essay. This 300-to-500-word essay gives you the opportunity to express how you would benefit from receiving a Foundation scholarship and why you think the selection committee should consider you.

The college’s Speaking and Writing Center can help you with this crucial component of the application.
